SR. Network Engineer
1. Local & Wide Area Network and Security Support (30% of time spent each day) - Responsible for the operation and maintenance of Fox's datacenter and perimeter firewalls. o Oversees operational changes within the datacenter based on requests from our users and clients who host services in those datacenters o Supports maintenance requirements such as code and hardware upgrades o Responds to incidents on equipment at the datacenter - Performs general network and security hardware and software maintenance and configuration o Support for hardware and code upgrades on equipment at our campus and branch offices o Incident response to problems with equipment at our offices - Interfaces with vendors and Fox partners to ensure security policies are followed when installing or changing equipment on the network - Works with our clients and customers to assist with a variety of service requests. o These may vary from basic VLAN changes on switches to new Application deployments where the engineer will build firewall and load balancer policies to support their requirements o These types of service requests represent the majority of non-project related work for the engineer. - Office Installs, Moves and Upgrades o This represents the majority of the project work that the engineer is responsible for. o The design component is covered below in both sections 2 and 3. o These projects involve either major office hardware upgrades of the network infrastructure or completely new office builds where Fox has purchased a new location or acquired another company. o Operationally the engineer will either be onsite to deploy the new hardware or will be on a call overseeing the work done by local IT staff. o These projects involve detailed planning of configuration and hardware changes as well as close work with our Project Management Organization. 2. Network Design (30% of time spent each day) - This section includes the design work for Office Installs,

The systems supported by this position are used by multiple Business Units worldwide to deliver both television and theatrical content with extremely tight SLAs. This position will work closely with these BU's, both with their technical support teams as well as their managers and executives, to provide resilient and scalable designs to support any network challenges that may arise.The engineer will manage advanced networking hardware and will provide support to application developers, end users and other operational personnel who may need assistance when using these systems. This position provides design and product recommendations for LAN, MAN, WAN, DNS, internet access, network security and datacenter deployments. This position requires experience with the design and troubleshooting of firewalls, load balancers, routers and switches to support complex network environments.
