Our great client in the Denver area is seeking a IT Development Manager for a direct hire, full time position. Required skill set: - 5+ years of management experience. - 10+ experience of overall IT experience. - Experience programming/ using the following language/frameworks J2EE, JavaScript, open source frameworks, RPG, COBOL, IBMi, WebShpere, DB2, SQLServer. - Needs to be able to communicate and articulate recommendations to senior leadership.

Leadership · Actively participates as a member of the NDS IT Leadership team · Champions Agile principles · Promotes teamwork and collaboration · Maximizes team productivity and effective utilization of team's skillsets, via strategic staff planning and working with teams to build cross-functional skillsets · Demonstrates ability to lead and coach all members of an agile team (dev team, scrum master, product owner, or other roles as applicable · Promotes career growth and development of team members through career coaching, 1-1's, and performance evaluation · Provides encouragement, recognition and support to the team · Conducts performance management of under-performing team members as necessary · Carries and promotes a vision for the systems that their teams work on · Acts as technical stakeholder to teams, representing technical debt for backlog prioritization · Actively engages with the team and in ceremonies as necessary to support solution delivery and high team performance · Establishes and maintains business partner and vendor relationships as needed · Ultimately responsible for system and initiative delivery, which includes quality, efficiency and timeliness of work being done System · Possesses a general working knowledge of J2EE and/or IBMi architecture · Understands the technology stack and high-level technical design of the solutions supported by the teams and looks ahead at future technology considerations · Comprehends the testing methodologies employed by their teams to ensure quality Process · Hires qualified and high-performing team members · Ensures the team is adhering to defined processes and standards. · Ensures effective communication of initiative / product status. · Works with Product Owner and Team to address stakeholder issues / concerns · Works with the team and Program Office to identify improvements and recommendations for process changes · Interfaces and consults across the organization (i.e. security, audit, operations, infrastructure, etc..) to coordinate delivery activities · Provides assessment and recommendation of team or individual's salary adjustments, and bonuses · Conducts budgeting and tracking of both capital and operating expenses
