Requirements Engineer



Position Summary:



The Requirements Engineer is responsible for:



Collecting and managing project requirements. This includes customer, product and validation requirements.



Managing the allocation of requirements to design elements in hardware and software and mapping customer requirements to validation & test requirements.



Working with customers and customer teams to define and ensure a common understanding of the product requirements.



Negotiating with the customer to insure requirements can be met.



Communicating the allocation of requirements to the hardware and software design teams.



Developing the high level product verification plan to insure the product meets the requirements.



Loading and maintaining requirements in a configuration managed database, maintaining the required traceability matrices, managing issues related to requirements.



Specific Duties:



Adherence to Company software engineering process, procedures, standard work, or equivalent.



Putting requirements into a configuration managed data base, maintaining the required traceability matrices, managing issues related to requirements.



Coach and mentor the engineering team on requirements management process and methods.



Apply continuous improvement methodology's to requirements management work practices, processes, procedures, deliverables and metrics.

















Education:



Bachelor's Degree (3-4 years) Master's Degree (4-6 years)
