IT Service Operations Manager

job summary:
Position Overview:

Strategy, planning, coordination, configuration and governance of non-production environments

Operational management of a team that provides support and deployment management of third party applications portfolio

Management and oversight vendor relationship providing 24x7 operations center support

Deployment management of third party apps and non-production environments

Overall accountability for ensuring teams, processes, technology and vendors are aligned and meeting agreed upon levels of service

Work with other areas of IT to define and implement an automation strategy for provisioning non-production servers, deployment of code and configuration management

In collaboration with Business Solutions team, establish goals and SLAs/SLOs for third party application operational management and support

Identify and establish toolset and processes required to maintain and support non-prod environments

Regularly work with Director (IT Ops) to plan key goals, objectives, and initiatives for Service Operations teams and functions

Define strategy for deployment management of third party applications and non-production environments

Enable IT to meet strategic business goals by providing, in a timely manner, environments and related processes that help ensure application and system quality, and performance prior to release to production

Ensure that third party application updates and configuration provide required functionality and performance

Ensure deployment policies and practices are followed for third party applications and non-production environments

Participate in Change Management and Problem Management as needed

Ensure operational management and production support of third party applications

Provide reporting and analysis on environment's usage, and availability

Perform ongoing evaluation of environment and deployment management services and identify areas of improvement

Position Requirements:

10+ years of relevant experience in IT Operational role

5+ years on hands on IT management experience

Excellent attention to detail, project management, planning, organizational, and communication skills

Excellent work ethic, initiative, self-motivation, and demonstrated ability to deliver high value support

Experience with ITIL

Bachelor's Degree required
