The QA Manager is a key position in the QA Department, reporting into the Head of QA. This is a highly technical and hands-on role where you will be leading and mentoring Sr. QA Engineers and SDETs to achieve company QA automation goals, embrace cutting edge AWS technologies and front-end frameworks, present different automation techniques and approaches, and integrate with a modern DevOps environment. This position is responsible for documenting and presenting testing strategies to internal executives and external clients The QA Manager is responsible for team career development and mentorship and identifying staffing/hiring needs. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated success in building and leading technical QA teams and must bring a passion for managing people and a "leader-as-servant" approach. Qualifications/Skills: - 10+ years of QA Engineering and QA automation experience - 3+ years leading software testing efforts - 2+ years managing software testing teams and writing clear, concise and comprehensive test strategies and plans - 2+ Years working in DevOps and/or Agile environment - Prior experience of leading QA teams with track record of successfully validating and delivering high quality products. - Hands-on QA experience including testing automation. Deep knowledge of automation best practices and industry trends. - Hands-on experience with all test levels, methods and types - Experience with software testing metrics - Strong attention to detail and quality, and ability to direct the team to adapt best practices. - Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the writing and presenting of presentations around testing strategies and best practices. - Ability to adapt quickly to changes and maintain high team morale and efficiency. - Ability to work collaboratively with teams to address their needs, motivate them throughout the project, and identify opportunities to add their own support directly when needed.

Primary Responsibilities: - Provide hands-on leadership to a team of QA Engineers and SDETs and work work with the leads of other disciplines to increase the QA impact on the end product. - Define and direct the development of new testing frameworks and applications and ensure the implementation of manual and automated test solutions. - Provide deep attention to detail during the full software development life cycle, from conception, design, implementation and testing to documentation, delivery and maintenance. - Own the writing and presenting of presentations around testing strategies and best practices to internal/external stakeholders. - Provide and/or review time estimates, technical recommendations, and proposed test solutions based on technical and business requirements. - Manage and provide career development for the team. - Work to mitigate risk and escalate to technology leadership as appropriate. - Work closely with the Head of QA on strategy, planning and design/architecture of new test solutions, and the refinement of existing frameworks, processes, and tools. - Provide strategic thinking in guiding enhancements and improvements in the QA team with the ability to present testing strategy. - Manage QA team through defined key objective indicators and specified goals that align to the company's direction and objectives.
