Financial Business Analyst - Oracle Financials

job summary:
Title: Financial Business Analyst (Mid-Sr level)
Location: Germantown, MD/ Silver Spring, MD
Duration: 6 months contract to hire




Job Description:


The candidate should have at least 8 years of practical experience in the fields of system and requirement analysis, critical thinking, information assurance, software testing and enterprise Federal administrative applications (i.e., Oracle Financials, SAP, or PeopleSoft, etc.). This requirement is for a proven, experienced Business Analyst. The candidate should have solid technical experiences and unique hands on approach to performing all analytical aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), waterfall / spiral methodology, working in a dynamic and challenging Federal administrative application environment.



Capabilities Required:


· Current or recent hands on analytical and testing experience in Oracle Federal Financials, PRISM, SAP, or government accounting applications. Knowledge of Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivables, Budget, or General Ledger a plus.
· Hands on experience executing assignments as an experienced Business Analyst.
· Experienced in federal Oracle Financials supporting federal government projects
· Experienced in testing techniques, GUI, Functional, Integration, System, Regression, and User Acceptance Testing.
· Experienced in creating, modifying detailed functional requirements and high-level design documents.
· Experienced in performing root cause analysis and supporting functional Accounting, Budget and administrative applications until all issues are resolved.
· Experience in performing Data Driven tests for testing the application with multiple set of data using and documenting the results.
· Experienced in writing clear, concise written documentation, tracking proposed changes, running working sessions and JAD sessions with written meeting notes.
· Must be experienced in preparing working session agendas, supporting materials, and briefing materials.
· Ability to work with all levels of management, willingness to learn and implement new ideas quickly, and to be a collaborative team player.
· Excellent analytical, communication, documentation and interpersonal skills.
· Highly motivated resourceful team player that takes a positive approach to problem resolution.
