Our great client in the Milwaukee area is hiring an IT Manager who has a manufacturing background for a direct hire opportunity.

Candidates must have the following skills:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, IT, Computer Science, or a related field
  • 10+ years of IT experience
  • 5+ years of IT management experience
  • Background and experience in manufacturing and industrial engineering, digital, automated solutions (automation, robotics, IoT, Industry 4.0), and manufacturing execution systems (MES) in a global manufacturing environment
  • Experience building and managing with manufacturing IT teams
  • Demonstrated ability to manage resources, timelines and deliverables in a cross-matrix environment including internal and third-party resources
  • Great business relationship management skills. Ability to establish, build and maintain relationships with individuals at all levels of the organization
  • Effective change management skills
  • Facilitation skills and project management experience with mid to large size projects
  • Financial and business acumen

  • Aligns business strategy and needs with appropriate IT service levels and manages expectations with business partners relative to IT services
  • Develop lasting partnerships with manufacturing operations leadership functional team to ensure open communication and alignment on ongoing initiatives and understanding of business requirements and impacts
  • Work with leadership of the new South Harbor manufacturing facility to ensure manufacturing technology including, but not limited to, Manufacturing Execution Systems, shop floor equipment automation, and related manufacturing applications are optimized for the new facility
  • Discuss and implement Digital Enablement process improvements, maintain an awareness of functional best practices, and partner with the user community and business user leadership about future technology needs and the development of a technology roadmap
  • Align business strategies with IT investment and priorities. Develop and deliver on a strategy that includes the provision of new solutions, the management/remediation of existing applications, and the continuous improvement of internal operations
  • Assign, design, configure, develop and document system change requests per departmental systems life cycle and audit guidelines
  • Develop and oversee project plans, resource and capacity planning, testing, deployment, and documentation processes
