Responsible for the support and maintenance of the client's enterprise desktop systems Infrastructure. This person will be a member of a team of administrators providing off-site (Frisco, TX) administration and support services. Responsibilities include Windows desktop support, MacOS support, mobile devices support, VDI infrastructure support and compliance & configuration management. Serve as a point of contact for desktop issues, identifying and implementing process improvements, and ensuring customer satisfaction. Provide off-site support in Frisco, TX.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION

  • University degree or equivalent work experience in the field of Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering or other related field
  • At least 1 years' experience administering Windows and MacOS.
  • At least 1 years' experience with business requirements gathering/analysis.
  • At least 1 years' experience in systems design and development.
  • At least 1 years' experience with technology evaluation, comparison and selection.
  • Proven project planning and management experience.

REQUIRED TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

L1/L2 Desktop support (Windows)

General Operating System troubleshooting

General desktop productivity tools troubleshooting (e.g., Microsoft Office 2013/365, Adobe Acrobat, etc.)

Application install and triage

Hardware triage and troubleshooting

Connectivity troubleshooting (e.g. printer, VPN, internet etc.)

L1 Desktop support for MacOS

General Operating System troubleshooting

General desktop productivity tools troubleshooting (e.g., Microsoft Office 2013/365, Adobe Acrobat, etc.)

Application install and triage

Hardware triage and troubleshooting

Connectivity troubleshooting (e.g., printer, VPN, internet etc.)

Mobile Device Support

Device provisioning/deprovisioning escalation (e.g., scheduled leave)

First point of escalation and triage from TSD

Remote user assistance (Bomgar)

Project support - operational execution of project-driven activities (e.g. corporate Slack deployment on mobile devices)

Mobile management infrastructure maintenance and monitoring (Blackberry Dynamics, VMware Workspace One, JAMF)

VDI Infrastructure Support

VDI infrastructure maintenance and monitoring

Provisioning/de-provisioning of VDI clients (onboarding new effort (new VDI template) and adding capacity to existing effort (existing VDI template))

First point of escalation and triage for VDI platform related issues

Project support - operational execution of project-driven activities (e.g., infrastructure migrations, BYOC)

Compliance & Configuration Management

Validate, triage and investigate the success of endpoint changes made through centralized management tools (SCCM, JAMF, Tanium)

Endpoint change to include patches, driver updates, software updates or security vulnerability remediation activities

Regular monitoring of endpoint compliance and dashboard management

Monthly reporting of endpoint compliance to baseline

Remediation of endpoints that deviate from configuration baseline (security or operational)
