Health Data Analyst #529
Under direction of the Program Manager III and Manager of Quality Management and Reporting, the position will be responsible for coordinating and managing some member and provider outreach efforts with emphasis on HEDIS improvement and clinical quality measurement and for supporting an improvement of the quality of services provided to members. Functions for this position include, but not limited to, project management and analysis of claims and pharmacy data. Successful candidate must be able to perform independently and execute all the analytical and technical tasks required to take a project from inception to completion.

Additional Information - Delineate and conduct health data analyses using primary and/or administrative data sources to meet project-specific objectives such as HEDIS reporting. This includes but is not limited to: - Query source data. Write programming to do data manipulation and analysis. - Query NCQA HEDIS certified software platform and leverage its functionality to support performance reporting. - Consult with appropriate Public Plans staff and managers to refine research questions and analytic approaches - Integrate information from multiple sources (i.e.: project-specific results, standardized reports, other project findings, and current business initiatives). - - Interpret information relative to project research questions and business objectives. - -
Support the Manager and Program Manager III in making recommendations for business actions and future analysis. - Produce project-specific documentation to reflect analytic methods used, key decision points, caveats, and strategies to facilitate project adaptation to meet changing business needs. - Assist Manager and Program Manager III of Quality Measurement and Reporting in meeting contractual quality obligations related to Mass Health, CMS, the Commonwealth Health Insurance Connector Authority, and NCQA or other types of accreditation. Responsible for leading specific activities related to these obligations. - Develop interim and final presentations to reflect project results, tailored to specific audience/reader needs. This includes but is not limited to: - Prepare graphic and tabular summaries of findings. - Write the analysis summary and outline the main findings, as appropriate to the specific project and audience.
