job summary:
Our client, a growing media analytics firm with offices in Long Island and NYC are looking for a Project Coordinator to join the Project Management team. You will be responsible for organizing internal project and process-related activities. This person will collaborate and earn the trust and respect of the teams with whom they interact.

responsibilities:
  • Use both an Agile (Scrum) and traditional Project Management methodology to manage projects
  • Work with stakeholders to ensure the scope of the project is defined and communicated clearly to the Development teams
  • Establish goals, tasks, create a schedule with milestones, and determine owners of tasks/actions relative to the project(s) they are managing
  • Communicate updates to stakeholders (project team, management)
  • As applicable, prepare and publish weekly project reports/status to inform stakeholders of the project's health (i.e., open/at risk/completed items)
  • Identify risks, issues, and dependencies to their projects' deliverables
  • Support the PMO in reporting (weekly status reporting, upcoming financial reporting)
  • Assist the Data Science and Analytics Project Manager in project administrative tasks
  • Be able to work autonomously, making decisions with minimal managerial oversight
  • Work with the Director of Project Management to establish and implement a process around Request Management and own that process
  • Serve a backup capacity for PMO tool administration (JIRA/Confluence, WorkOtter)
 
qualifications:
  • 1 - 2 years' experience in a professional setting
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills (& attention to detail)
  • Understand concepts related to the management of a project
  • Bachelor's Degree in appropriate field of study
 
skills:
  • Experience in managing developing data products
  • Knowledge of JIRA, Confluence, Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Visio)
  • Knowledge of Agile Methodology (Scrum)
