5G Lab is accelerating that future by exploring and incubating new concepts powered by our 5G network and building an ecosystem of startups, creators, and partners across our six Lab locations (NYC, Cambridge, DC, San Jose, Los Angeles, and London).

Our 5G Lab platform encompasses a variety of programs and activities including events, hackathons, innovation challenges, technology trials, and concept development and co-creation with partners.

Based in San Jose, this Project Management & Operations position will proactively manage and support the build-out of a new 5G Lab in San Jose, as well as provide cross-lab project management for a variety of workstreams.

You'll be responsible for managing timelines, project schedules, and communication across a variety of stakeholders. These stakeholders include our global real estate team, technology and creative agency partners, network team, product teams and 5G Lab team.

What you'll be doing: Leading the build-out of a physical space that includes a network testing environment, flexible workspace, technology showcase area, meeting rooms, and event space Facilitating the tracking of project plans, timelines, budgets, meetings and communication across a wide range of internal stakeholders.

Supporting the procurement of technology, hardware and software across all Labs Occasionally supporting the project management of complex cross-Lab workstreams including ecosystem programs, accelerators, incubators, and event-led partnership activities Must be willing to travel periodically to other Lab locations

What we're looking for... You'll need to have: Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience. Strong project management, stakeholder engagement and operational experience.

Experience managing construction projects, even if limited to experiential spaces Understanding of technology and relevant terminology Interest in and willingness to learn about 5G technology Six or more years of relevant work experience.

Willingness to travel.

Even better if you have: Masters degree.

Experience working with technical teams.

Passion for technology and good understanding of current technology landscape, in particular startups and emerging technologies that will benefit from 5G connectivity.

Telecom experience, in particular exposure to and understanding of 5G technology (although 5G engineering expertise is not specifically required for this role).

Knowledge of at least one of the key industries that 5G is likely to disrupt (e.g. immersive entertainment, venue-based experiences, retail, manufacturing, healthcare, transportation, logistics, public sector / smart cities, education, hospitality, etc.).

Process oriented mindset with demonstrated desire for driving continuous improvement.

You love a good plan, but are not married to it, and can help it evolve as circumstances dictate.

Comfortable working in a dynamic, challenging and stimulating organization.

Aptitude to work outside of your comfort zone and get things done quickly and in some cases with little to no supervision.

Excellent Microsoft Office / GSuite skills.
