Job description

The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 3 years of experience as a System Admin/Engineer and broad knowledge of infrastructure technologies such as virtual desktop (preferably Citrix environments), Microsoft operating systems, Linux operating systems, Active Directory, Storage solutions, and virtual environments. Excellent communication and documentation skills are required. The systems engineer will provide operational support for the US Mortgage Insurance IT Infrastructure Services team.

Primary Areas of Responsibility

  • Monitor and mitigate critical alerts and events related to IT infrastructure systems
  • Providing Level 3 administration and support for end-user and infrastructure systems and technologies
  • Participate in End User Infrastructure systems and services
  • Plan and Build Build and implementation of IT infrastructure
  • Operational engineering support for virtual environments
  • Primary support for QA and Dev infrastructure technologies managed by the IT Infrastructure Services team
  • Providing Level 3 administration and support for end-user and infrastructure systems and technologies
  • Monitor and mitigate critical alerts and events related to IT infrastructure systems
Proactive system analysis, monitoring and documentation

  • Implementing, managing, monitoring, and maintaining operating systems, hardware, application services, and server-based applications according to documented practices.
  • Developing, documenting Document , and maintaining policies, procedures and associated training plans for system administration and appropriate use.
  • Provide support for critical IT systems and infrastructure
  • Work with application support, data center services, development teams, and third-party vendors to provide support services for normal operations
  • The candidate will be required to compose and compile thorough documentation to enable ongoing administration and support of their respective systems and applications.
Security and Business Continuity

  • Exposed to corporate Well versed with security aspects . Provide maintenance on Genworth MI systems and maintain and to ensure our systems are up to par with the security industry standards
  • Develop and e As required, execute disaster recovery plans and testing activities
Job Requirements

  • 3+ years' experience in overall IT (either systems or network engineering)
  • Current certifications relating to Infrastructure support and services
  • 3+ years system administration hands on experience and preferred experience with the following: Windows Server, Linux/Unix, Oracle, Active Directory RedHat, Sun Solaris, Windows Server,
  • Familiarity with enterprise middleware and storage systems . (Tomcat, WebSphere, Docker EMC , , NetApp, SAS, File N net, Citrix, AD, and Web Methods ) .
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS or a related field
  • Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment, make sound decisions in emergency situations.
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
