Our client is looking for an HRIS Administrator for a 12+mo contract in San Diego, Ca.

The HRIS Administrator provides technical leadership in support of all company-wide HR systems. This position is responsible for the support, design, development, implementation, delivery, and maintenance of training content, employee and workforce data, and other resources. The HRIS Administrator is the primary system administrator for the Cornerstone HRIS suite (Learning Management System, Applicant Tracking System, and Performance Management System) and will lead the company-wide implementation and rollout. In addition, the HRIS Administrator serves as a technical point-of-contact in ensuring data integrity, testing of system changes, report writing and analyzing data flows for process improvement opportunities.

Key Job Responsibilities:

Serve as the go-to subject matter expert for Cornerstone LMS, ATS, and Performance Management modules, understanding system functionality and configuration options. Partner with HR and IT subject matter experts to support data migration, system implementation, integration, and rollout of Cornerstone in multiple phases and regions. Prepare all documentation for all system configurations and processes. Oversees functional management of Cornerstone, making and implementing system configuration decisions, including but not limited to:

Turning available functionality on/off.

Configuring how functionality is deployed to end users.

Creating custom course and user fields.

Setting up and maintaining user record and organizational structure management.

Defining and assigning system and course roles.

Mapping data integrations and workflows with other core systems such as CMiC (ERP) and LaborChart (Manpower Planning System).

Train system users on functionalities and new features.

Support the overall learning management strategy and implementation, including but not limited to:

Setting up and managing the course catalog and learning objects.

Configuring rules, approval workflows, notifications associated to each system feature.

Configuring learning paths by position.

Testing new courses prior to go-live to ensure they meet data governance and process standards.

Managing external content catalog and 3rd party courses.

Export regular and ad hoc reports from our internal databases (for example, training, headcount and turnover reports). Develop and monitor custom reports and dashboards, metrics and automated data feeds and reporting. Provide application support to all HRIS users experiencing technical issues as well as system users in the investigation, analysis, and resolution of all problems related to the services and its integrated applications. Escalates outstanding issues by partnering with vendor support and attending product training and support hours. Assist in reviewing, testing, and implementing the HRIS system updates or patches. Collaborate with functional and technical staff to coordinate application of upgrades or fixes and document the process and results. Ensures consistency in data input to the system and cleans up data as needed. Identify areas to improve existing HRIS processes, functionality and work flows, and maximize technological capabilities to reduce manual processes and to improve data management and efficiency. Provide Learning & Development administrative support such as scheduling classes, promoting upcoming training offerings, enrolling employees, tracking attendance, managing licenses and certifications. Act as the organizer and coordinator lead during instructor-led or live virtual classroom trainings, including equipment setup, food & beverage set-up, interface configuration, session moderation and technical troubleshooting. Other duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications:

  • A bachelor's (or master's) degree in Information Technology, Computer Sciences, Data Science or related fields.
  • 2-3 years of experience administering HRIS/HR databases. In the construction or manufacturing industry a plus.
  • Experience with working in Cornerstone On Demand LMS, ATS, and Performance.
  • Experience with data migration, system implementation, integration, and rollout of an HRIS system. Implementation experience specifically with Cornerstone a plus.
  • 2-3 years of experience in program or project management, working cross-functionally with tech and non-tech teams.
  • Knowledge of HR data policies and procedures including state and federal laws regarding confidentiality and general information usage. Proficiency with HRIS and web-based compensation and talent management tools required.
  • Knowledge of the basic integration of multiple systems and the impact between the HRIS, Benefits, Payroll, Finance and IT technology platforms.
  • Demonstrates ability to analyze information, identify key trends, diagnose technical and application issues and develop recommendations
  • Excellent teamwork, verbal and written communication (including the ability to explain technical concepts in non-technical terms), as well as project and time management skills are essential.
  • strong experience with manipulating data using Microsoft Excel utilizing functions such as Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, Connecting to External Data, and complex formulas.
  • Must be skilled at presenting in front of small and/or large groups of individuals.
Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with e-learning standards such as SCORM and xAPI and associated QA testing.
  • Experience with data architecture between different systems and platforms.
  • Familiarity with web services, APIs, databases, or back-end application infrastructure.
