Lead Cell Tower Technician

job summary:
-As a Lead Cell Tower Technician/Foreman, you will be leading a team completing various structural projects, which may include: new builds, site mods, or on a roof top. You will have the knowledge and certifications to effectively utilize tools, technology, and other resources to install mounts, grounding, associative RF components, cad welding, and/or inspecting structures in which you will be expected to ensure all safety precautions set forth by Federal, State, & company's regulations at all elevations. Daily activities also include on-site to install, repair, and modify a variety of wireless equipment on infrastructures.

-Position is directly supervised by Field Manager.

responsibilities:
-Manage a crew working on projects that may include construction, repair, and/or maintenance

-Coordinate and give instruction on the installation of wireless infrastructures including but not limited to (installation of antennas, feed lines, fiber, shelters, self-support towers, guy towers, and monopoles at heights 500+'

-Contribute to the department effectiveness by receiving and providing information as necessary

-Promote teamwork, implement directions, and work to support company culture, goals, and objectives

-Delegate tasks to team members to promote position growth

-Provide support to Managers and customers

-Demonstrate commitment to customer service at all times

-Strive to provide efficient, high quality customer service

-Collect, review, & complete closeout documentation

-Maintain records of repairs, calibration, procedures and problems

-Discuss issues with Project teams as necessary

-Experience working with various carriers and general contractors

-Monitoring daily production reports and completing performance evaluations of crew members

-Teach and assist team members to develop technical knowledge and skills related to job duties

-Maintain and ensure crew adheres to a clean, orderly environment abiding by the company's policies and industry regulation/standard(s) (OSHA)

-Isolate basic hardware, software, and air interface malfunctions utilizing various test equipment on multiple products and technologies

-Strict attention to detail and organization; enabling timely task completion focusing on the quality of workmanship

-Follow work orders submitted by customers and/or project teams

-Aide project teams in completing projects on time and on budget

-Ensure accurate & timely reports are completed and submitted

-Stay informed of trends and innovation techniques in order to be competitive in state-of-the-art practices and products

 
qualifications:
Have a Very Flexible Work Schedule (candidates that say they WANT TO work plenty of OT hours and also weekends here and there that would be required)

PREFERRED Certifications / Experiences:

-SPRAT Certification (Level 1/2/3)

-Experience working with Verizon and T-Mobile

-4-5 years wireless tech experience

-PIM and Sweep Certified

Required license or certification

Clean Driver's License

 
skills: -Ability to run all aspects of a tower project, top or bottom, with minimal to no supervision.

-Run all test equipment (Sweeps, PIM, Fiber, Microwave, etc.)

-Strong leadership role - committed to safe & reliable services in which you are willing to help train others-Maintain CPR/First Aid AED, OSHA 30, RF Radiation Safety & Awareness, Anritsu, PIM, and Competent Climber certifications

-Self-starter & team player who pays strict attention to detail and organization effectively interfacing with all levels of management, staff, and customers

-Versatility, flexibility, and enthusiasm needed in a constantly changing work environment

-Maintain proper use of company vehicles, credit cards, and other assigned assets

-Effectively interface with all levels of management, staff, and customers

-Pass the following tests prior to employment: drug test, background check, and physical examination evaluation process during training

-Be available for evening, weekends, and rotational assignments; accepting on-call responsibilities

-Possess and maintain a valid driver's license Other Skills/Abilities

- Ability to use office equipment (i.e. computer, copier, scanner, fax)

-Microsoft Office product knowledge (i.e. Outlook, Word, Access)

-Ability to effectively utilize the internet Physical Requirements

-Energetic and mentally prepared

-Ability to meet physical demands of duties

-Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.

-Ability to bend, lift, twist, squat, kneel, sit for extended periods of time

-Ability to work outside and withstand varied inclement weather conditions

-Ability to reach, climb, and/or grasp ladders or other tall structures
