Virtual Events Content Designer

job summary:
Our client is looking for a Virtual Events Content Designer for a 12mo remote contract.

Roles & Responsibilities:

The Virtual Events Content Designer creates concept and standards for brand related experiences across medium and platform. This position is a visual designer with a storyteller's sensibility who can build on the strategic visual direction for brand guidelines. Position requires both technical and functional expertise in areas of design theory, product design, storytelling, illustration, animation and video. Reports to Chief People Officer.

Key responsibilities include:

- Engage key stakeholders to identify content strategy and organizational goals mapped to overall event themes - Write and/or oversee writing of educational driving content.

- Partner and strategize with educational cross-functional work team to develop content.

- Ensure that all creative aligns with our brand and marketing objectives while consistently creating inspired content.

- Review presenter material to ensure content is translatable to a virtual environment.

- Hands-on, daily management of all session and speaker logistics including session details, speaker assignments, and profiles, session scheduling, proofreading, presentations, session tagging, and more.

- Schedule and manage production meetings and speaker rehearsals.

- Demonstrable skill and knack for articulating the "why" and "how," not just the "what."

- Measure results (evaluations, attendance, feedback) on all content and communicate findings back to key stakeholders. Modify processes to adopt best practices and incorporate feedback as appropriate

- Employ your strategic mindset to bring creative solutions to every problem.

- Adaptable and calm in high-stress, tight deadline situations and patient in the face of changing priorities.

- Extremely organized and process-oriented, without being rigid. Demonstrates flexibility in a highly collaborative work environment.

- Independent, self-directed and resourceful.

- Ability to work evenings, weekends and holidays as needed.

- Experience in live web streaming and virtual events required. Proficiency with Adobe design programs- InDesign, Photoshop, and Acrobat.

- Portfolio of past work required. Preferred Education, Licenses & Experience

- Experience working in Adobe XD, SketchApp or other prototyping tools.

- Knowledge of Jira.

- Experience in website or app design.

- Experience working in an Agile development environment.

- Familiarity with web content management systems and social media asset creation.

- Understanding of email marketing, HTML and web-based graphics.
