ETL Data Developer
This position is responsible for producing and maintaining conceptual, logical and physical data models of enterprise business data as well as the physical data architecture data stores and data marts as components of the data warehouse.
Particular emphasis will be placed on data analysis, data relationships and dimensional modeling.
Creates deliverables that include, but are not limited to: Conceptual Data Models, Logical Data Models, Physical Data Models, Dimensional Data Models, Data Flow Diagrams and other Data Management artifacts.
Analyzes business and functional requirements of assigned projects and translate into technical specifications and data rules required for the construction of a data mart, data warehouse or operational data store. Keeps all documentation (business and technical metadata, data models, guidelines and standards, etc., processes) current.
Develops standards and strategies to ensure data quality. Determines appropriate processes and roles for governance of activities related to data standards.
Establishes standards for tools and data management.
Participates in a team environment for the delivery and maintenance of data models in support of application system databases.
Effectively applies software development methodology and adheres to standards, including change management.
Assists in system monitoring responsibilities and makes recommendations for capacity planning.
Provides training and knowledge transfer to the application support group.
Provides project documents and deliverables in adherence to project plans.
Fosters/maintains good relationships with customers and IT colleagues to meet expected customer service levels.

Candidate must be willing to delve into the details to solve technical and modeling challenges taking a hands-on approach.
BS in Computer/Information Science, Mathematics or equivalent is required.
10-15 years of relevant data modeling experience in a multi-platform environment, including but not limited to, application system administration/coordination, application development or database development.
Demonstrated experience with logical, physical, and dimensional data modeling, process modeling and data mart / warehouse design.
Understanding of diagramming and the documentation of requirements, including data dictionary and metadata repository.
Ability to analyze, diagnose and resolve data management related problems. Familiar with full life cycle software development processes, especially as they pertain to data movement and data integration.
Strong written and oral communications skills coupled with active listening skills.
skills: 8+ years of performing data extractions (preferably from Teradata) and loading in to MS SQL.
Demonstrated experience using modeling and ETL tools with MS SQL Server). Must be highly motivated, have a great work ethic and work effectively with other team members, while requiring minimum direction.
