Sr Infrastructure Engineer

job summary:
Our highly recognized client is looking for an experienced Sr. Infrastructure Engineer. This is a direct hire, permanent position at their data center in Bridgeport, CT. Candidates must have 3-5 years experience in design, engineering and administration of network and VoIP infrastructure. This position is responsible for the maintenance and development of the organization's technical infrastructure on 24/7/365 basis.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains the organization's technical infrastructure within respective computing environments. Analyses, tests, and implements physical infrastructure design supporting various business applications.
  • Analyze, review and design enterprise class Voice systems based on industry experience, research, vendor interaction, proof of concepts and labs.
  • Organize, Schedule and Complete: Moves, Adds and Changes for voice infrastructure including phones, voice mail and user configuration.
  • Upgrade, maintain, and administer existing Voice and Network infrastructure including Call Manager, Contact Center, Voice gateway routers and Session Border Controllers.
  • Monitor the bank's VoIP infrastructure. Install, maintain, and administer analysis and management tools.
  • Provide 24 x 7 x 365 support. Work closely with various IT teams, business areas and service providers to troubleshoot and resolve a range of voice related issues affecting the performance and stability of the bank's lines of business in a timely manner.
  • Maintain voice infrastructure security using internal policies, standards and procedures for patching and configuration compliance. Perform periodic audit and security related tasks designed to ensure role-based access to the bank's network environment.
  • Develop and maintain project plans, standards, procedures, policies, diagrams, proposals, security documentation, troubleshooting guides, inventory lists, and resource plans. Adhere to voice documentation and policies.
  • Acts as a resource to other Infrastructure Engineers
  • Provide ongoing tactical and strategic input for network planning and related projects.
  • Excellent project management and research skills with a demonstrated ability to manage projects from inception through completion.
  • Experience with scripting contact center IVR logic and cloud-based Voice solutions (Amazon Connect, Webex Contact Center) are a plus
  • Specific areas of responsibility include Cisco Call Manager, Cisco Contact Center Express, Calabrio Workforce Management and Quality Management software suite, Virtual hold infrastructure.
