Director of IT

job summary:
Primary responsibility/function will be to implement, manage and maintain a state-of-the-art ERP System.

responsibilities:
Support existing applications and create, maintain and enforce procedures/standards for implementation of technical solutions.

Define strategic technology direction with the ability to translate business needs to into technical solution architecture while working closely with all lines of the business to ensure long and short term I.T. investments are making the desired impact on the business.

Maintain relationships with SAP vendors, establish and direct SAP technical governance framework. Evaluate and select software products as needed.

Manage deployment, monitoring, maintenance, development, upgrades and support of all I.T. systems including (but, not limited to): servers, PCs, operating systems, telephones, applications and peripherals.

Create and develop standard operating procedures and best practices, this includes creating written materials for I.T. personnel and end users.

Manage financials for I.T. department (purchasing, budgeting, and finance reviews).

Develop and implement all policies and procedures for architecture, security, disaster recovery, standards, purchasing and service provision.

Negotiate and administer service agreements related to I.T. budget with vendors, outsourced work, and consultant contracts.

 
qualifications:
To be considered you must be a self-starter, with the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently and be up to date with cutting edge technologies and products used in the Pharmaceutical/Manufacturing industry such as: SAP S/4HANA and MS Azure.

 
skills: Skills/Experience: Bachelor's degree in computer science, advanced technical or managerial credentials preferred. Seven or more years of progressive IT experience in the OTC - Pharmaceutical industry (including managing subordinates).
