Support Engineer

job summary:
Support Engineer needed for Contract Opportunity with Randstad Technologies client in Redmond, WA.

Top needs:

-Skill direct hands on experience primarily with SQL Server Integration Services,

-Secondary any of the Azure products below the Data Movement team we are accountable for:

ADF = Azure Data Factory

ASA = Azure Stream Analytics

ADC = Azure Data Catalog

ADLA = Azure Data Lake Analytics

ADLS = Azure Data Lake Storage Gen1

ADS = Azure Data Share

SSIS = SQL Server Integration Services

DQS = Data Quality Services

MDS = Master Data Services

-Prior product/technical support experience.

-Technical experience and knowledge working in Azure technical support or equivalent technology.

-Technical skills and hands on experience in development or related.

- Work times / shift is 2nd shift- supporting PST/PDT, Hawaii / East Australia, could include weekends, example expect ending work time 8 - 10PM CST (UTC -5)

Details:

As a Support Engineer you will represent in customer communication/support via phone and email to assist customers in resolving technical issues involving products and services, specifically SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services)

Resolve the most challenging technical customer issues, often through collaboration with other technical product teams

- You will be a technical resource for the team regarding case reviews, troubleshooting, and effective customer interaction.

- You will have develop and publish content for customer self-help.

- Demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills, while working with diverse audiences including highly technical IT professionals, developers, architects, and executive management.

- Act as a technical focal point in cooperative relationships with other companies.

- Manage crisis situations that may involve technically challenging issues and diverse audiences.

- Own and resolve technically complex mission critical or politically hot customer issues

- Be responsive to customer needs which may sometimes require outside of normal business hours.

- This role is expected to various shifts; plan on part of shift rotations with engineers.

Qualifications

Requirements:

- 2+ years of experience with SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services)

- Big Data or Analytics Products and Services (such as Hadoop, Spark, Hive, HDInsight, Cosmos DB, Azure Data Factory, Kafka, or Streaming technologies)

- Ability to work from home office without distraction or potential to expose confidential data

Preferred Qualifications:

- Ideal if they meet USNAT and Azure Gov requirements for clearance.

- Programming & debugging experience

- Java, Python, R, Scala, REST concepts, C/C++, JavaScript,

- Experience with Windows and Linux.

- Knowledge and experience with the Open Source ecosystem.

- Experience in RDMS such as SQL Server and BI technologies including SQL Server Analysis Services, Power BI, SQL Server Reporting Service is a plus.

- Adaptability, flexibility and the ability to do the right thing under pressure and tight deadlines.

- Great interpersonal and communication skills-both oral and written-and success in partnering with groups inside and outside of.
