Design Strategist Role

You will be part of a fast-paced, entrepreneurial, energetic, and high performing team. You will be leading a dedicated team with human-centered design by gathering customer needs, designing graphic elements, and building delightful user experiences. We are looking for a Design Strategist with deep experience bringing together various parties to design a solution and have the versatility and enthusiasm to take on new problems.

In this role, you will:

- Serve as primary design consultant and central point-of-contact for creative team, partners, and decision-makers. Lead design team in collaborative development of customer experience across multiple touchpoints

- Demonstrate expertise in user research and develop ideas and strategies for all touchpoints (e.g., print, digital, multimedia, etc.) to create holistic end-to-end experiences that benefit the overall customer-experience

- Be comfortable and proven in all of the following realms:

o Understanding people - uncovering user needs and perceiving emerging user behaviors

o Understanding business helping our clients find new opportunities

o Understanding technology knowledgeable and curious about new technologies, and being able to see them from fresh and user-oriented perspective

o Hands-on research expertise (ethnographic and other qualitative methods to quantitative methods

o Identifying and delivering on growth opportunities and bringing products or services to market

- Be accountable for overall implementation of user experience for assigned Business Unit.

- Maintain advanced knowledge of all Lighthouse programs, businesses, and offerings. Cultivate advanced understanding of design at Client and the industry, including both new- and existing-media delivery channels.

- Actively contribute to brand management design initiatives. Influence and support the development of new design standards and help maintain existing standards across the department.

- Propose and promote graphic consistency, standards, and accuracy for both custom and company branded communications.

- Demonstrate the ability to effectively manage a large number of highly complex products with multiple stakeholders simultaneously.

- Lead and/or participate in special projects and performs other duties as assigned

Strategic Responsibilities:

- Develops problem-framing approaches, establishing new starting points that lead to new kinds of solutions, which affects strategic thinking, not just execution

- Leading the solution of undefined problem spaces (e.g. "How can we reconsider how people look for and purchase items??)

- Storytelling and persuasion techniques that build trust with partners and establish long-term relationships; comfortable communicating at all levels of the organization; demonstrates confidence and charisma

- Uses understanding of impact and success metrics to focus their team's efforts; Emerging understanding of broader organizational context and goals; Connects team's efforts with savvy grasp of ecosystem and organizational context; ability to articulate a vision

Tactical Responsibilities:

- Synthesize research to inform business strategy and drive decisions based on user research insights

- Sit at the portfolio level and ensure consistent experience across products, including interaction design, and user research efforts

- Responsible for defining a style guide, pattern library, standards for applications, and interactions within a Lighthouse Business Unit

- Assist with determining scope, as well as validating assumptions made when identifying solutions.

- Coordinate with designers at the product level (if available) on execution of product vision, as well as co-create with the workflow owners on new product opportunities
