Allscripts is looking to expand our Database Operations team. We are looking for a passionate Prinicpal DBA who can bring strong expertise to help transform/support our on-premise/Amazon/Azure database technologies (SQL Server/PostgreSQL Iaas/PaaS).
The position requires you to be a team player for a small and focused DB Ops group that is responsible for architecting, designing, building, scaling and supporting RDBMS platforms. You will collaborate with the broader DevOps, Data Architecture and Engineering teams to deliver solutions, and drive change, in support of our mission.

Bring both relational and non-relational chops to help us architect, build and maintain our SaaS data stores in the cloud (AWS/Azure).
Ensure the continuous availability of our mission critical systems.
Help manage all aspects of our AWS/Azure instances and storage backing our cloud platforms.
Conquer the day-to-day operational aspects of our systems:
- Performance monitoring/tuning
- HA/DR strategies
- Backup strategies
- Query tuning
- Cloud instance/storage design, provisioning and performance monitoring
- On-prem to cloud migrations
Automate routine tasks with your own scripts and open-source tools
- Experience level: Experienced
- Minimum 7 years of experience
- Education: Bachelors
- Database Administration (7 years of experience is required)
- SQL Server DBA (7 years of experience is required)
