job summary:
SEE INTERNAL NOTES:

Description:

Infrastructure delivery management will include executing on the following items:

Ensuring applications are replatformed out of the data center into strategic locations. The replatform activities that need support include virtual to virtual migrations, physical to virtual migrations, physical to physical migrations, and in a few instances actual relocation coordination of hardware. There will also be the need to work with application teams to decomm hardware that is no longer needed and the legacy hardware once replatformed. Included in this scope of work will be support for the Not Permitted Technology products that are riding on this data center hardware and ensuring that all NPT Tier 1 and Tier 2 remediation efforts are made across the AITs impacted by the data center closure.

IDMs will also be responsible for ensuring that Not Permitted Technology is handled for applications not affected by the data center migration. As part of the NPT remediation work, the IDM resources will be responsible for replatforming Windows and Linux infrastructure. There is also support needed to remove legacy SQL instances across several AITs, which includes coordinating not only a physical to virtual move of the application, but an OS upgrade as well. There are also additional upgrades needed around software upgrades and various other physical platforms that require a new build. The IDMs will need to balance the criticality of the NPT Tier 1 items along with the longer remediation timelines of Tier 2, in order to ensure these efforts are completed by the end of the year.

In addition to the data center exit and NPT work, the IDM resources will also be responsible to manage some of the initiative project work that is coming through the CIO teams. There is work needed to support various pieces of vendor connectivity, new functionality, right-sizing, and high ROI impacts.

Skills sets that provide the most success in this role are:

- Prior experience as a system administrator via midrange based servers/OS and/or databases

- Prior experience as a network engineer or delivering and implementing circuits, routers, firewall...etc

- Prior experience remediating legacy server based and OS based infrastructure; upgrading technology, specializing in physical to virtual migrations and well as virtual to virtual migration efforts.
