R Coding Developer

job summary:
Our client in Auburn, CA has a 4-6+ month contract opportunity for an R Coding Developer. This role can be 100% remote with the ability to go onsite if needed.

This role will support the development and maintenance of COVID-19 reporting systems, with a primary focus on the COVID-19 dashboard.

Qualification Requirements:

    • Familiarity with the following R packages is preferred but not required:

      • Tidyverse
      • Dplyr
      • Plotly
      • Leaflet and/or other geospatial data packages
      • Rmarkdown
    • Ability to build code for cleaning and quality assurance of datasets
    • Ability to build code to produce automated data reports
    • Preferred but not required: familiarity with other programming languages/tools (Python, Selenium) for automation of web-based tasks.
    • Work independently and as a cooperative, contributing member of a team.
    • Vision - constant use of good overall vision for reading/close up work; frequent use of color perception and eye/hand coordination; occasional use of depth perception and peripheral vision.
    • Dexterity-frequent repetitive motion from writing and using a computer keyboard; frequent grasping, holding and reaching.
    • Hearing/Speaking - frequent hearing/talking to others on the telephone
