Content Developer

job summary:
Job Responsibilities

75% - Planning, execution, tracking, and reporting of documentation projects

  • Plan, write, edit, and maintain technical and marketing documents including demo scripts, training materials, release notes, data sheets, and other documentation
  • Test demos and associated scripts and provide results to development teams
  • Proactively collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) to ensure accuracy
  • Work closely with demo developers and project managers to maintain regular, timely, and consistent communication on project status, issues, risks, and resolutions
  • Liaise with SMEs to capture features, advantages, benefits, key business scenarios or applications
  • Research and read previous documentation and design notes, and use company technical products and information to learn more complex technical information
  • Create drafts and update existing documentation, and proactively manage review cycles
  • Publish final deliverables and respond to user feedback
25% - Other responsibilities, as assigned

Minimum Requirements, Skills, and Attributes

  • Ideal candidates have a technical background and are comfortable working as a generalist with highly technical products and information
  • Demonstrated ability to write documentation that is clear, concise, consistent, and accurate for multiple audiences and personas
  • Prior experience working with DITA or other structured authoring framework
  • Prior Cisco experience is a big plus, but not required
