Job Title: Automation Test Engineer

Job Description: The Automation Engineer will participate in software testing, creation and implementation of Test Strategies, Plans, and Automated Test Scripts as well as other aspects of the software development lifecycle. The candidate will be responsible for developing and executing automated test scripts to ensure that web-based application meet organization standards, support Client's goal of moving test teams to DevSecOps.

Qualifications and skills:

  • 3 - 5 years of automation experience testing web-based applications in an agile development process.
Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • Test Complete, Junit, JavaScript, Test Complete, Selenium Web Driver, Rally tool, JAWS, Dragon Naturally Speaking, UFT, Postman, Grafana, NetData Open Toolset, Springboot
  • Knowledge and experience in Continuous Development / Continuous Integration using Jenkins jobs ? SQL query skills and general understanding of relational databases.
  • Ability to understand data models and write test scripts based on the data model
  • Evaluate test results, report and manage defects
  • Good Understanding of Oriented programming and Data Structures
  • Ability to work in a high-pressured, tight-deadline environment
  • Good written/oral communication skills and problem-solving skills; ability to communicate information to a variety of groups at different technical skill levels

  • Experience with integration level testing, requiring ability to work with both big picture & in-depth domain knowledge.
  • Proven ability to develop, execute and maintain automated test suites across multiple environments: frontend/backend applications, Web and Web Services, desktop, and Web Service testing using Soap UI with basic XML knowledge
  • Prior experience in a software development arena is a plus.

  • Experience with XML and 508 testing is a plus.
  • Knowledge and experience with Section 508 testing experience is a plus.
Clearance:

  • The clearance is a Public Trust level.

responsibilities:
  • Automated test engineer shall support continuous improvement processes to reduce the overall defect rate and improve software development, as well as product usability, stability, and value. Supports analysis of test results and resolution of open issues.
  • Build automation test packages using Test Complete tool with Selenium WebDriver, Selenium Grid, JUnit, TestNG, Cucumber / Gherkin, REST Assured Frameworks and libraries to design complete Test Automation Suites using Java Programming Language.
  • Develop and update test plans, test scenarios and test scripts.
  • Generate test data and perform Data Validation
  • Develop SQL or Unix scripts for test data generation or test harness automation
  • Execute regression, functional, and system testing scenarios and packages for end-to- end workflows using CI server, Jenkins.
  • Verify results and producing test summaries and defect reports
  • Identify defects and requirement discrepancies, and fully document defects and report discrepancies
  • Use software engineering IDEs including Eclipse, IntelliJ, SVN, Gitlab for design, development, and testing the software
  • Work and Interface with development team to understand requirements and improve SW test effectiveness and resolve/verify defects
  • Collaborate and communicate with team and stakeholders to develop & improve existing automation framework and libraries.
  • Able to successfully deliver solutions on various levels of Client/Server and web-based applications with expertise in both Manual and Automation Testing skills.
  • Able to work in Agile Scrum Software Development /Cross-functional team approach.
  • Able to analyze business requirements, functional specifications, and design documentations, test Strategies, test plans, and user acceptance criteria
  • Able to create and organizing, Test Plans, Test Sets, Tests and Test Executions in Jenkins.
  • Able to run automated Smoke Testing, Positive and Negative Testing, Functional Testing, Front-end, and Back-end testing scenarios
  • Able to create and maintain System Integration Testing, User Acceptance Testing, Regression Testing, API Testing, Data-Driven testing scenarios.
