General Description

This position will primarily be responsible for scoping and implementing largescale strategic project and program initiatives. These strategic projects or programs may involve all types of Information Technology (IT) solutions, operational changes, process changes, and significant organizational change.

The Senior Project Manager will perform project management for new system implementations, large-scale upgrades of existing systems, special focus projects requiring multiple resources and expertise from across the enterprise.

Essential Job Functions 1. The Sr. Project Manager will scope and implement large projects and programs for the Research Institute and Hospital. 2. The Sr. Project Manager may lead a complex program that requires multiple PMO resources to be assigned. 3. The Sr. Project Manager is responsible for core project deliverables based on project size, effective management of resources, following standard PMO methodologies and approaches, knowledge sharing, and is open to giving/receiving feedback. 4. The Sr. Project Manager will mentor and coach other PMO resources or resources that are leading projects.

Please see the physical requirements for this position listed below. Education Requirement Bachelor's degree required. Master's degree desirable. Licensure Requirement Certifications PMP certification required. Skills - strong skills in the use of PC desktop applications such as Word, Visio, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project, and SharePoint. - Proven experience in complex project and program implementations. - Completed complex projects/programs using Waterfall methodology. - Working experience using Agile methodology. - Previous healthcare and research experience desirable. - Ability to modify work schedules and practices to meet job requirements; requires occasional overnight travel. Experience - 7+ years' experience information systems management, project management, program management, and systems implementations
