Sr. IT Systems Engineer

job summary:
As an IT Systems Engineer on our Environments team within the Enterprise Development Capabilities & Services organization, you'll engineer (design, procurement, configuration, and support) run-time environments for our software applications. You'll support environmental platforms that include virtualized Windows and Linux servers and cloud-based hosting. Additionally, you'll work in Azure DevOps to construct/support application build and release pipelines in continuous integration and continuous delivery implementations. In this role, you'll also provide support for environment issues as a third-tier escalation, which may require some off-hours support for critical issues.

responsibilities:
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

- Coordinate work with internal teams to build out infrastructure, troubleshoot and construct solutions

- Consult with and facilitate application programmer support requests

- Manage diverse set of tasks focused on protection, improvement, or definition of new customer technical environments

- Utilize scripting and automation to fulfill customer needs

Required skills:

- strong IIS experience

- PowerShell scripting or other scripting experience

- Knowledge of Information Security (LDAP, RBAC, Digital certificates)

Preferred skills and experiences:

- Puppet Experience

- Networking Technologies (TCP/IP, Load Balancing, DNS, FTP, SMTP) and/or knowledge of Information Security (LDAP, RBAC, Digital certificates)

- Troubleshooting Tools such as Sysinternals, NetMon, Perflog, EventLog, Message Analyzer, and/or Fiddler
