Software Database Engineer needed for a Contract Opportunity with Randstad Technologies client in Redmond, WA. Responsibilities - Coordinate the migration of from our current Support and Operations teams to the new, Enterprise-ready organization. Execute transition plan, including:
o Establishing relationships with new stakeholders
o Aligning process and tools to track requirements, work and support requests
o Inventory, document, and recommend improvement to the current infrastructure
- Create and maintain data pipeline architecture and ETL
o Connect to external data residing in SQL Servers, SQL DW, Azure Data Lakes, Azure Blobs, Cosmos DB, SASS Tabular Models, flat files, Spark and Hadoop
o Programming/Scripting in T-SQL, Python, PySpark/Scala, DAX
o Environments: SSMS, Azure Databricks, Azure Synapse Workspace, Azure Data Factory, Azure/SQL Analysis Services
o Maintain Staging and Production servers (SQL, SSAS)
- Quality Control and data onboarding
o Conduct periodical Privacy and Security reviews with IT, HR and Ops stakeholders
o Creating and executing Test Plans of code and UI (Power BI and Power Apps)
Desirable skills and experience o Working in Data Science teams, understanding of Data Science/Machine Learning Workflow
o Experience performing root cause analysis on internal and external data and processes to answer specific business questions and identify opportunities for improvement
o A successful history of manipulating, processing and extracting value from large disconnected datasets
o Strong project management and organizational skills
o 5+ years of experience in a Data Engineer role, who has attained a Graduate degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Informatics, Information Systems or another quantitative field
