Our client has a permanent opportunity for a
Marketing Director. It is preferred that this role sit in Irvine, CA or San Diego, CA.
This is an exciting opportunity to join build out their marketing department from scratch.
Our client is a 30-year privately owned technology company in southern California looking to refresh otheir marketing program through hiring an experienced, highly motivated marketing professional. You will be empowered and supported to innovate and restructure their marketing team to better serve clients, sales teams and vendor management teams.
Overview of the role: As the Marketing Director, you will be responsible for providing guidance to our client's marketing department by evaluating and developing marketing strategies, planning and coordinating marketing efforts, communicating the marketing plans to those involved, and building awareness and positioning for our client's company brand. You will also be working closely with our client's sales department and vendor management to build and operate an integrated marketing strategy. Finally, you will be in charge of organizing company conferences, trade shows, and major events.
Marketing Director Requirements: Experience in marketing and running a marketing team
Proven marketing campaign experience
High preference for experience in marketing technology services organizations
Effective time management skills and the ability to multitask
Attention to detail
Proven ability to manage budgets
Professional and proactive work ethic
High competence in project and stakeholder management
Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills
Experience with digital marketing forms such as social media marketing and content marketing
Willing and able to support limited travel for team meetings, events and conferences

Coordinating marketing projects from start to finish
Lead the organization of company conferences, trade shows, and major events
