Our client in Sacramento area has a 12+ month contract opportunity for a Java Developer
This role will start out remote but will most likely require onsite work in the future.
This role will contribute to one of our client's backend products utilized by most of our solutions. This application serves as an enterprise service bus, providing database access and management, and additionally serves as a workflow engine to facilitate the processing of transactions, as well as providing additional features in support of our client's customer's activities and custom business requirements.
This position will require excellent time management and multitasking skills as the above duties will be expected to be applicable for many existing projects requiring ongoing support, as well as new projects in flight. Skills Mandatory Skills
Java 8 - Proficiency in core Java programming, in Java 8 or later.
Spring Framework - Proficiency witih Spring Beans
Hibernate / Spring Data JPA - Proficiency with one of these database management technologies or close equivalent.
SQL - Usage and knowledge of SQL and either MS-SQL or Oracle databases.
Web Services (SOAP or REST) - Proficiency in design and implementation of SOAP or REST web services.
Kubernetes - Experience with Kubernetes or Docker Swarm.
Wildfly or JBoss app server - Experience with WildFly application servers.
Maven - Experience with build tools and project management tools such as Maven.
JUnit - Experience with testing frameworks and methodologies for Java applications.
Scripting - Basic shell scripting proficiency in bash or powershell.
Git or Mercurial - Basic experience with version control such as Git or Hg.

We are looking for someone with successful Java project experiences in various formats such as Web, Enterprise, and Cloud. Education:
Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or related field required.

- Supporting existing projects by implementing bug fixes, enhancements, and completing change orders.
