Lead Environment Engineer and Release Manager

job summary:
Reporting to the Senior Principal, Enterprise Architect, the Lead Environment Engineer and Release Manager for Corporate Enterprise Applications oversees and coordinates the activities to manage multi-platform environments and releases, including production and other sandboxes required to support strategic programs and daily business operations.

responsibilities:
  • Managing and coordinating multi-platform code and data deployments with various application and product owners
  • Developing and managing continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) framework of Corporate Applications
  • Automating of builds, application deployments, reducing manual efforts, always looking for continuous improvements
  • Building and creating packages and releasing them to different environments
  • Troubleshooting issues and supporting development teams in technical questions of CI/CD delivery and DevOps tools
  • Monitoring and managing DevOps infrastructure and tools

    • Responsible for driving product and project releases to a successful delivery
    • Accountable for release scope, budget, timeline and quality
    • Partner with product management and engineering, identifying and resolving impediments and risks
    • Anticipate bottlenecks in release cycles and plan efficiently
    • Define and apply release management processes across the organization
    • Govern scope, priority setting and Go/No-Go release committees
    • Lead and apply release quality policies
    • Communicate and present release scope and status
    • Manage release risks, escalations and mitigations
    • Manage activities in a global and matrix organization
    • Manage relationship with external partners
    • Lead KPI analysis and SLA commitments tracking
    • Lead lesson learned processes and improvement plans
  • Lead Agile improvement process initiatives and release Retrospective
 
qualifications:
  • Experience level: Experienced
  • Minimum 4 years of experience
  • Education: Bachelors
 
skills:
  • RELEASE MANAGER (5 years of experience is required)
  • DevOps (5 years of experience is required)
  • Netsuite (3 years of experience is required)
  • Salesforce (3 years of experience is required)
