Our Client is seeking a Senior Application Specialist who will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the ERP system and integrations to other applications. The ideal candidate for this role will possess a combination of technical and people skills with previous Microsoft Dynamics GP implementation experience.
Responsibilities: - Support all aspects of software and hardware related to GP, including routine maintenance, installs, updates, patches, customizations, integrations including 3rd party applications
- Draw from ERP implementation experience, internalizing and leading software related efforts
- Collaborate with staff to identify business challenges, gather requirements, design, and implement GP-related solutions
- Assist with 3rd party vendors in the maintenance, support, patches of the Dynamics GP, and other connected business applications
- Proactively managing and prioritizing multiple GP related projects, assignments, timelines, milestones and follow-up communications
- Update How-To documentation and Standard Operating Procedures
- Administer GP end users, roles, security, and all 3rd party applications associated
- Produce technical and user documentation to facilitate internal and external processes
- Work with users to gather requirements, design, and develop reports
- Conduct training for all departments for overlap support and any cross department end-user training involving GP
- Troubleshoot and resolve daily support tickets, to include escalation to other IT groups and external vendors
- Provide additional helpdesk user support as needed
- Evaluate 3rd party products for fit and make recommendations
Education and Experience: - Bachelor's degree or equivalent related work experience
- 10+ years of experience large, corporate systems development and implementation activities in a wide variety of organizations. Technical experience in system analysis, design, building, testing, and implementation preferred.
- Proven experience implementing and supporting Dynamics GP
- Experience with GP modules including, but not limited to GL, AP, AR, payroll, and inventory
- Experience with Scribe, Crystal Reports, Management Reporter, ReportWriter, SmartList Builder, SmartConnect, Integration Manager, and Modifier with VBA
- Experience with Microsoft BI stack: SSIS, SSRS, Power BI
- Experience with Paramount Workplace preferred
- MS programming experience (VB.Net, SQL, etc.)
- Experience implementing diverse, high impact initiatives to support organization objectives
- Working knowledge of application support, development tools, and methodologies
- Ability to make recommendations and suggest alternatives when needed
- Ability to work on large-scale complex projects that include multiple strategic goals and multiple tactical tasks
- Ability to quickly grasp complex technical concepts and convey them to others in an easily understandable way
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
- Analytical aptitude, attention to detail, and superior organization and time management skills are required General knowledge of accounting principles and/or financial background
- Microsoft GP certification is preferred
