Overview:

The Business Analyst will play a vital role in the development of software and products by the Product Delivery team(s). The Business Analyst will directly interact with customers and stakeholders to understand their needs, and transform this feedback into innovative solutions for the implementation or inclusion in a broader product.

Responsibilities:

  • Work in a rapid development environment; enhancing existing products as well as prototypes and proof of concepts
  • Apply in-depth understanding of system structures and operations to ensure solutions covering the business requirements align with overall design and strategic technology direction
  • Create and actively manage a refined product backlog by understanding and writing the business requirements for the product or feature, and translating these into epics, user stories, use cases and acceptance criteria.
  • Using appropriate interpersonal styles and communication methods to influence and build effective relationships with customers (e.g. peers, functional partners, external vendors, alliance partners, etc.).
  • Provide subject matter expertise to customers, and team(s).
  • Create user stories, requirement templates and workflow documents
  • Work with the Project Manager(s) to ensure the right communication occurs for delivery progress, challenges and release dates to applicable Product Managers, stakeholders, customers and senior leadership.
  • Responsible for reviewing change requests and acceptance of changes into the product backlog.
  • Provide product expertise to communicate product features and functionality to the teams.
  • Actively manages the product backlog by ensuring it is living (reviewed continuously), represents the most valuable items for delivery, includes customer feedback and sets the team(s) up to learn the most about the delivery vision early in the delivery cycles.
  • Building viable products by thinking and acting customer centric
  • Relationship building skills with a good understanding of different cultures and how to work with them to deliver results, in a global organization
  • Collaboration skills and ability to influence cross-functional teams and facilitate conversations that lead to agreed direction
  • Candidates that have the ability to "act as a Project Manager" as well will be HIGHLY preferred
Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
  • 5-7 (+) years of experience as a Business Analysis, Project, or Product management working in a traditional SDLC/Waterfall development environment
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Experience with JIRA
  • Experience with PowerBI
  • Experience with MS Project
  • Demonstrable track record of defining, developing and deploying products and features
  • Possess a unique blend of business and a technical acumen; can translate big-picture vision into more digestible components to make that vision an incremental reality.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate and present to all levels within the organization and customers outside of the organization, up to and including C-level.
