job summary:
Project Manager is needed for IT project completion in a unit or department, requiring high levels of crossfunctional integration and involving multiple disciplines to be managed. Perform project management oversight of small projects or one or more large tasks within a larger project.

Responsibilities The project manager will be assigned to one or more highly complex technology projects that span multiple functional areas and technology units within client and the IT Department.

responsibilities:
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Manage projects from project inceptions to successful completion; leading the orderly progression of projects from the proposal stage through project completion by interacting with administrators, IT staff, faculty, hospital staff, and the Societies. Coordinate with stakeholders and technologists to define agreed-upon project scope, outcomes, requirements, schedule, and resources; develop actionable project plans and project artifacts; identify, manage and escalate, as appropriate, project risks, issues, and roadblocks to timely delivery. Lead Change, acting as change agent use skills and expertise to inspire a shared purpose of intent, drive project awareness, communications, and training while ensuring an effective transition into operations. Manage resources, scope, prioritization, work-plans and the investigation of future enhancements Develop and implement project communications framework to ensure well-informed stakeholders, end-users and technical staff. Facilitate and drive work sessions; leveraging flexible toolkit of techniques, with the ability to adapt an approach to the needs of the project. Coordinate with key stakeholders within client at a variety of governance levels. Liaising with stakeholders and vendors to lead the discovery of both technical and nontechnical solutions to meet requirements. Typical Core Duties - Responsible for effective staff management, including hiring and orientation, training and development, workflow and performance management, and the promotion of an inclusive and innovative work environment - Look across portfolio of projects and identify issues and dependencies - Occasionally expected to lead a project as a project manager - Create and maintain training materials; act as a resource to school/unit staff - Apply client's IT technical standards and best practices - Abide by and follow the client IT Code of Conduct

Basic Qualifications - Minimum of two years' post-secondary education and/or relevant work experience - Demonstrated cross-functional project leadership experience - Demonstrated team performance skills, service mindset approach, and the ability to act as a trusted advisor - Attitude that supports an Agile working environment

Additional Qualifications and Skills - Masters in technology leadership, business administration, related field or equivalent experience. - Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, advanced Excel skills - Knowledge of information technology applications, processes, software and equipment - Knowledge of advanced IT project management principles (e.g. Agile) and software - Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to build and cultivate strong relationships and work effectively with diverse groups, including education and noneducation personnel, internal and external to client - Demonstrated "can do" work ethic coupled with effective time management and ability to overcome ambiguously or under-defined problems, simplify and clarify objectives, and lead the team to successful outcomes - High level of energy, determination, and perseverance, to act as an agent of change in a demanding organization - Familiarity or experience with service delivery protocols is desirable - Experience working at a medical school or demonstrated an ability to deliver results in an academic environment is a plus - Experience with technical project management discipline and practices - Experience with leading complex, mission-critical, technical projects - Excellent time management, organization, and planning skills - strong business/systems analysis skills, proven meeting facilitation, and documentation skills - Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to share information effectively and confidently to internal and external audiences of varying levels of technical knowledge - Manage multiple assigned tasks and projects with minimal supervision Certificates and Licenses - - PMP or other relevant certification and experience preferred, e.g., Scrum Master
