Business Analyst

The Business Analyst will be an integral part of the leadership team and will support the practice leadership team to make progress against strategic goals. The Business Analyst will provide critical analytical insights, drive forward key projects and assist on strategic issues that deliver on business objectives.

Primary responsibilities:

  • Support Practice Leadership decision-making by analyzing internal data and developing models related to key practice goals and objectives such as resource planning, global business development initiatives, performance management and talent development
  • Maintain client data on business growth, clients, performance track record, etc.
  • Support the leadership team in developing presentation materials for key meetings for the practice as well as for the leadership of the firm, including but not limited to:

    • Weekly Executive Management Report (EMR)
    • Monthly practice meeting materials (also responsible for meeting minutes)
    • Monthly wrap write ups
    • Asia Accelerated Growth Plan
  • Meeting notes with key takeaways and to dos for all leadership team members for standing weekly and other team meetings
  • Serve as a liaison with various individuals and teams across the firm to gather data and perspectives to inform the work
  • Partner with COO to facilitate Operating Model Focus group and support related cross department initiatives

  • BA/BS
  • 2-3 years' experience serving as a front-line analyst or consultant in an investment management, financial services or strategy consulting firm is preferred
  • Python and basic SQL skills are required
  • Interest in and aptitude for working with collaboration software (e.g., Jive Software)
  • Proven analytical skills; experience looking at disparate data sets and gleaning relevant insights
  • Experience managing projects and driving to completion
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and on a team
  • interpersonal skills and ability to partner with colleagues across the firm, including communicating effectively with senior management
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge of investment management preferred (but not required)
  • Expertise with Microsoft suite (Excel, Word, Powerpoint)

  • Partner closely with other members of the Private Client Practice leadership and business development teams
  • Support ad hoc initiatives or projects across private client leadership, operations, client engagement and business development teams
  • Improve efficiency of practice team resource models
  • Track and advance Private Client practice client-facing professionals' adoption of new analytical tools into their day-to-day work and help aggregate challenges and develop solutions to ensure tools support the specific needs of the private client practice
  • Design and maintain tools for tracking practice leadership project pipeline
  • Ensure Practice's internal homepage is kept up to date with relevant content
  • Experience level: Experienced
  • Minimum 2 years of experience
