Assistant Manager Network and Telecommunications (Anaheim Hills)

job summary:
This position is hands on and lead and supervisor for networking and telecom team based out of the Anaheim Operations Center. This person will have lead responsibility for managing projects and service for the corporate WAN and LAN, including designing, implementing and maintaining routers, switches, firewalls, and other network devices. They will propose system designs, network upgrades and implement solutions for both our client and their customer facing environments. This position also provides application support for the contact center infrastructure (Avaya PBX, ACS and voice recording/routing systems), video conferencing systems and support of users in remote locations utilizing VPN and other remote access technologies. This position includes supervising other team member work, managing vendor contracts, tracking costs and asset inventory and planning work with business stakeholders.

responsibilities:
Works on deploying, upgrading, securing and making changes to Cisco routers and various switches at branches and remote sites.

Troubleshoots network related issues like connectivity, bandwidth and quality of service problems. This includes working and opening trouble tickets with the telephone company.

Monitors and manages team activity on projects and during upgrades or maintenance.

Manages vendor contracts, ordering equipment and planning upgrades across the enterprise.

Monitors network connectivity to branches, ATMs and hosted clients.

Supports users and takes help desk calls on network-related issues.

Establishes router connectivity with VPN and MPLS links to customers and Wescom sites.

Provides support for Avaya PBX and related applications supporting the MCC.

Provides support on fiber channel switches and all flash storage systems.

Configures consoles, printers and symconnect ports on Symitar systems.

Sets up and supports users, vendors and clients needing access to the network.

Plans and documents day to day changes that are made to the network.

Follows all change control procedures, outage notification procedures and is available after-hours for escalations and emergencies.

Performs other related duties as assigned or directed.
