Randstad Engineering Solutions is looking for a highly motivated self driven systems engineer to join our team to support the development of electronics on advanced construction and agricultural equipment like Combines. This is a position with great growth potential as the team looks towards the next generation in advanced electronics.

As a Systems Engineer, you will be working closely with the architecure and and software development teams to create and validate requirements for the current and next generation Smart Fuse Box (SFB) platform.

Job Description:

As a Systems Engineer working on the SFB team, you may be asked to do the following tasks:

1. Support software implementation and integration working directly with the Software Engineering team.

2. Support product validation and production, working with Test Engineers, Manufacturing Engineers and Technical Publication groups.

3. Work with the Safety Engineer to fulfill the necessary Functional Safety requirements (ISO25119)

4. Support the Hardware Component Engineer with system integration and design validation (DV) issues.

5. Troubleshoot problems and develop root cause through hardware and software failure analysis and testing. Support plants, suppliers and customers to resolve issues.

6. Actively assist the Project Manager with managing external supplier(s) to ensure that their deliverables meet the project requirements and overall CNHi needs.

7. Conduct work item reviews with stakeholders and suppliers.

8. Incorporate and encourage the use of central standards, methodologies, and processes into the Engineering team's daily work tasks.

9. Actively communicate with external suppliers and internal customers regarding product development issues.

Communication Skills:

Possess excellent communication skills and ability to interface with all levels of management

Leadership Skills:

Strong drive to take initiative and own assignments in order to ensure successful completion of assigned tasks

Required Skills:

Minimum 3 years of Systems Engineering and Requirements Management skills.

Minimum 2 years of Embedded Systems or Software design

Minimum 2 years engineering experience in Off-Highway, Automotive, or Commercial vehicle industry or other highly process orientated systems engineering environment such as aerospace, medical equipment or cellular industries

Minimum 1 year experience with CAN in-vehicle networking

These would be a plus:

Extensive knowledge of in-vehicle communications architectures and protocols (e.g. CAN, LIN, J1939, ISOBUS, XCP, UDS, KWP2000, FlexRay, etc.)

Understanding of programming in C, C++, and structured software

Experience with Test design and development methodologies

Experience using Model Based Development design using tools such as Matlab, Simulink, Stateflow, or Embedded coder
