Platform Validation Technician

job summary:
We have a 3 month contract opportunity for a Platform Validation Technician in Santa Clara, CA.

Description:

Please note: This role will be 100% on-site

Job Duties:

Measure data and system builds. Some projects are cyclical, and some are reactionary projects

Running testing, deep dive not required, but will output results in form of report

Understanding of Windows OS paramount

Nice to have:

Technical support (PC)

Gaming experience

Helpdesk

Desktop Client Measurements

Desktop SKU Matrix

Candidate possesses experience debugging PC hardware platforms, building systems and configuring hardware. Experience installing and running - Various PC operating systems including Windows Server 2003, Windows XP, Windows - Vista, IInux and Netware. Good - Verbal and written communication skills, and ability to work well in a team environment.

Can follow Technical directions carefully and accurately. Runs predefined software installation and tests in a controlled environment, and records both the system set up and test results accurately. Assists in Iayout changes in the Iab by rewiring configurations and assisting with machine placements.

Must have networking and server management experience.

Associate's degree preferred, HS diploma or GED equivalent required
