JOB TITLE: Data Product Architect

The Data Product Architect will be building data models for data products like Reference Data Service, Enterprise Digital Twin, etc. and alongside Product Managers, aligning and documenting data management practices implemented to fit data standards framework as prioritized by Data Architecture leadership. This person will also be responsible for driving the data product certification process by working with stakeholders.

MUST HAVE SKILLS (Most Important):


- 3+ years of industry experience

- Experience with Big Data technologies and ecosystem, data modeling tools (eg: ERWin)

- Experience with Project / Process management

- Experience writing technical documentation


- Proficiency in core database management and manipulation technologies (e.g. SQL)

- Prior exposure to Hadoop and ETL

- Familiarity with core data concepts (e.g. data lakes, data warehousing) and experience building data catalogs/dictionaries with business glossaries

- Familiarity with cloud / distributed computing and storage concepts and technologies

- strong written and verbal communication skills

- strong process management skills


- Python, PySpark frameworks

- Experience with Cloud Data Platforms - GCP, AWS

- Prior experience working in the Telecommunications industry focused on Network technologies


Data Modeling - 50%

- Design data models and schemas that can fit multiple business use cases leveraged by multiple core technical stacks

- Define and implement data accuracy across product portfolio needed by businesses and internal customers and mandated by external SLA's

Process Engineering/Technical Writing/Communication-50%

- Collaborate with stakeholders across DG&A, including Product Managers and Data Modelers, to document and communicate data requirements across systems

- Collaborate with stakeholders across DG&A, including Product Managers, Data Architects, Data Engineers, Business Enablement teams, to document and communicate data certification needs and manage the certification process end to end

- Help maintain an enterprise data catalog to consolidate information pertaining to data lineage, quality, and metadata for critical data elements across models utilized by core business customers

- Translate DCAM guidelines and framework to current documentation and catalogs

- Collaborate with stakeholders across DG&A to manage data product certifications and communicate the requirements and success criteria needed to certify a data product


- BS in engineering, computer science, or a technical subject; MS preferred
