IT Business Analyst

job summary:
GENERAL PURPOSE:

Our ideal candidate is a detailed planner, expert communicator, and top-notch analyst. They should be wholly committed to the discovery and development of agile innovative solutions. They should have a high understanding and curiosity for the IT ecosystem. They should be willing to roll up their sleeves to troubleshoot challenges that present themselves between solutions.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND Responsibilities:

  • Work with agile product owners and product stakeholders to determine and develop project requirements and communicate the requirements effectively to the product team.
  • Create requirement documents such as Business Requirement Document (BRD), use-cases, user stories, or any other object needed for the project.
  • Create diagrams such as activity diagram, flow diagram, etc.
  • Create and maintain the product backlog; ensure it is available to the product owner and the entire development team.
  • Collaborate with managers of development teams to ensure the product's development aligns with its original vision.
  • Work across departments and prioritize tasks for team leaders based on stakeholder needs.
  • Evaluate progress throughout the development process.
  • Champion process improvement, reengineering methodologies, and best practice principles to design and implement process modernization and improvements
  • Lead analysis, evaluation, and effectively communicate assessment of process performance measurements
  • Work with internal departments to track all outstanding deliverables for implementation and other project teams.
  • Support project teams during the analysis and planning stages of software development.
  • Act as a liaison between the business and its information (IT) department.
  • Provide innovative solutions to the ecosystem.
  • Work alongside teams to troubleshoot system challenges and provide smart solutions.
OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Clearly present the recommended workflows and manage customer concerns as they arise
  • Document and communicate project accomplishments, next steps, risks, and issues to client operations teams
  • Compile detailed agendas for meetings that cover important steps for the success of the project
  • Anticipate customer needs and risk points ahead of time, provide manager with potential solutions to address needs or avoid risks
  • Have confidence to take calculated risks or act boldly if you believe it will benefit the customer or company
  • Manage and track all project tasks in the project plan using project management tools
  • Advise business stakeholders on ways to make processes more efficient and employees more productive.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

  • Can conform to shifting priorities, demands, and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Ability to communicate complex ideas into business level terminology
  • Can react to project adjustments and alterations promptly and efficiently, flexible during times of change.
  • Ability to read communication styles of team members and contractors who come from a broad spectrum of disciplines
  • Persuasive, encouraging, and motivating.
  • Ability to elicit cooperation from a wide variety of sources, including upper management, clients, and other departments.
  • strong written and oral communication skills.
