Senior Information Sec. Advisor/Analyst

job summary:
A client of ours in San Antonio, TX is looking for a Senior Information Sec. Advisor/Analyst. This is a 2 year contract opportunity. Qualified candidates will have the following qualifications:

Job Role:

Role provides information security support and advisory services to internal and external customers.



Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent work experience). 4+ years relevant work experience
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office tools to include Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Effective communicator with all levels of management to include executive management, briefing preparation experience, analytical.


Preferred Requirements:

  • CISSP, Security+ or other Information security certification


Job Duties:

Processes requests to design, modify and grant security accesses, and other security requests. Performs role-based access support, troubleshooting end-to-end user errors and issues, and performs end-to-end support on a variety of information security systems software. Administers and maintains user access controls, processes, and procedures to prevent unauthorized access, modification, disclosure or misuse of contractor resources. Performs research, analysis and troubleshooting to identify, resolve, and explain complex security issues. Schedules and conducts self assessments of business applications to ensure compliance with published policies and standards. Collects, compiles, and generates information security reports on system and network accesses. Reports and prepares briefing packages for presentation to customers and management. Identifies and analyzes business practice violations of information security policy and standards. Participates in multiple projects as a team resource. May provide audit support. Documents procedures, executes and improves operational processes. Advises, guides, and assists managers, users and system and network administrators. Provides technical security advice on a wide variety of information security issues, concerns, and problems. Provides general advice and assistance in the interpretation of information security policy and standards. Performs physical site assessments of business partners and performs release of information to third party business partners. Participates in multiple projects as a team resource.

Top three skills in the order of importance and include the number of years of experience for each skill

Experience assessing common web application infrastructure, mobile, and APIs: 5 years (min.)

Experience guiding development teams on vulnerability remediation: 3 years (min.)

Experience in mentoring junior and mid-level consultants: 2 years (min.)

Nice to have - threat modeling

Three top technology tools that this resource must have knowledge using

Burp Suite or similar proxy tool

Mobile specific: Frida, Xcode, Android Studio

Experience with testing development frameworks using one or more of the following languages: Java, C#, JavaScript, Go, Python,

Swift, Kotlin, TypeScript, C, C++, or Objective-C.
