Sr. Consultant - Advisory Services

job summary:
The Senior (Business) Consultant is a customer-facing role associated with the development, scoping, and delivery of Advisory Services consulting engagements. The individual is responsible for leading the acquisition, analysis, and synthesis of client business information into business-driven use cases as part of Advisory Services Enterprise Communication Roadmap Planning engagements.

The Senior Consultant leverages and improves Advisory Services proprietary tools, methodologies and frameworks used to internally organize information and learnings, and externally to help clients best understand content relative to findings and recommendations.

responsibilities:
Essential Functions

  • Client Interaction

    • Correlates information from multiple sources for the purpose of discovering the client's explicit and implicit business communication needs and communicates complex/abstract concepts in a manner that is understandable to executive client stakeholders
    • Plans, conducts, and facilitates cross-functional 1:1 and small group client discovery interviews, and documents findings via the Advisory Services Teams Library for sharing, critique, and editing by team members
    • Maintains effective and timely communication with engagement contact points as appropriate
    • Publishes deliverables that are 100% accurate, highly professional, polished, and timely ensuring customer satisfaction
  • Engagement Delivery

    • Maintains adherence to the engagement Statement of Work regarding committed deliverables
    • Collaborates proactively with Advisory Services team members to enhance team's engagement performance, deliverables and client messaging
    • Works independently and within teams requiring minimal direction
    • Maintains accurate weekly account of labor/work effort
  • Business Development

    • Reviews, evaluates, and contributes to development of engagement Statements of Work
    • Qualifies and participates in complementary Advisory Services Workshops and completes associated deliverables
    • Works closely with National Account Managers (NAMs) and regional pre-sales sales leadership to develop business opportunities across existing and new customers
  • Advisory Services Practices

    • Collaborates and shares knowledge with other Advisory Services team members to improve team business acumen and technical capability assuring consultant capability and consistency
    • Contributes to continuous improvement, development, piloting and adoption of consulting methodology, services, and toolsets
    • Contributes to identifying potential new value-added services repeatable in the marketplace
 
qualifications:
  • Experience level: Experienced
  • Minimum 6 years of experience
  • Education: Bachelors
 
skills:
  • Technical Solutions (6 years of experience is required)
  • Microsoft Office Suite (3 years of experience is required)
