IT Support

job summary:
The IT Manager will monitor and maintain all internal computer systems and networks, provide visibility to the business on cost and performance of technology, and identify new technology to improve efficiency. This will be a key role in optimizing business operations, improving data security, and ensuring the sustainability of the technology infrastructure.

responsibilities:
Responsibilities

  • Monitor IT systems and resolve issues to ensure reliable operation
  • Set up workstations with computers and necessary peripheral devices
  • Install and configure appropriate software according to specifications
  • Provision user accounts and permissions to software and systems
  • Develop and maintain local networks in ways that optimize performance
  • Ensure security and privacy of networks and computer systems
  • Provide orientation and guidance to users on how to operate software and computer equipment
  • Organize and schedule upgrades and maintenance in a manner that minimizes disruption to operations
  • Collaborate with various teams and departments to develop and deliver IT solutions
  • Perform troubleshooting to diagnose and resolve problems
  • Maintain records/logs of repairs and fixes and maintenance schedule
  • Identify computer or network equipment shortages and place orders
  • Conduct and analyze ongoing internal and external network penetration testing and remedy material findings when necessary
  • Manage IT vendor relationships
  • Monitor and resolve issues with VoIP system
Requirements and qualifications

  • A minimum of 5 years information technology experience
  • Working knowledge of business networking equipment (firewalls, routers, switches)
  • Experience managing Windows Server 2012/2016
  • Experience managing Microsoft Exchange Server 2016
  • Experience with Active Directory and Group Policies
  • Knowledge of virtualization technologies
  • Ability to communicate at all levels within the organization
  • strong written and oral communication skills
  • strong attention to detail excellent interpersonal skills
  • Desired: Experience with SQL Server
  • Desired: Experience with Microsoft Hyper-V, Storage Spaces, and Failover
