Lead Business Analyst

job summary:
Our client, a rapidly growing Financial Services firm is seeking an experienced Business Analyst to join a team supporting the Chief Data Office (CDO). As part of the overall CDO initiative, the firm is currently launching efforts for modern data ingestion platform, specifically focused around automation and modernization of overall content sourcing, extraction, storing and delivery. The ideal candidate will be responsible for working with the cross-functional project team and leading the project from inception in a BA/PM capacity.

Qualifications



  • 3+ years of direct experience in project management, business analysis and requirements management
  • High attention to detail
  • High level understanding of various automation technologies like RPA, low code solutions, workflow tools etc.
  • Prior involvement in projects related to data management, data collection platform or data catalog
  • Superb follow-through; propensity to approach tasks and goals with an ownership mentality
  • Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority
  • Solid interpersonal skills, demonstrating an ability to work well with teams & stakeholders
  • Excellent communications and organizational skills
  • Proven ability to work in a high demand environment
  • Pro-active problem-solver willing to help achieve project success
  • Agile frameworks knowledge and a working knowledge of Jira a plus

responsibilities:
  • Conceptualize strategic business needs and translate them into project requirements for the future of data management
  • Define project activities, sequence, dependencies, work effort, duration and associated resource requirements
  • Work with all project stakeholders in understanding and documenting thorough requirements
  • Plan and manage project communications with all parties involved in the project as well as produce project briefs for the executive audience
  • Deliver project progress and strategic direction presentations on demand
  • Prepare/maintain the project plan documentation:

    • organizing the tasks and deadlines of the project
    • tracking project changes and progress
    • compiling/filing all summary documents
  • Identify, analyze, prioritize, and create strategies to mitigate project risks and form necessary contingency plans
  • Assist the procurement team to drive vendor selection process related to the goals of the transformational data strategy project
  • Work with teams across the organization in effectively pushing the project forward
