What You Will Do:

The Sr. Application Support Engineer is a highly technical hands-on position responsible for second level support of all firm-wide applications, including, images, rollouts, customizations and integrations relating to the end user experience. This position is also responsible for quality control of applications prior to their release into the production environment. Sr. Application Support Engineer will serve as technical project lead, working with internal/external teams, for application upgrades and implementation. This is a highly technical hands-on position that will interact heavily with all levels of the firm and external consultants. The individual will partner with Help Desk personnel to resolve recurring issues and ensure a stable, functional and technically up-to-date computing environment. This position will assist with providing direction for the Firm's end-user experience.

Essential Job Requirements:

  • Day-to-day troubleshooting of desktop applications
  • Second level support on an on-going basis including telephone/deskside support and resolution of IT Incidents
  • Day-to-day management of firm applications
  • Work with Help Desk staff to identify and resolve recurring issues relating to desktop environment
  • Perform QA for off the shelf or home grown applications
  • Assist in developing and maintaining knowledgebase, documentation and procedures relating to desktop and applications
  • Build, update and maintain standard images for desktop, laptops and Citrix environment
  • Assist with the support of the DMS environment
  • Keep current on latest technology trends
Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:

  • Well versed in Microsoft Applications, Office 365 highly preferable, iManage Work 10 or a relevant Document Management System, Windows Registry, centralized desktop management applications (SCCM/Intune), desktop imaging software
  • PowerShell or related scripting language
  • Knowledge of application customization and integration; legal specific applications preferred
  • Experience with Service Now
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities with strong attention to detail
  • Possesses and demonstrates exemplary customer service skills, and excellent communication skills
  • strong documentation and procedural skills
  • Must be self-motivated and work independently with minimal supervision
  • Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
  • Work with the Project Manager to insure that quality service and support is provided to the firm with respect to application integration services.
  • Evaluate proposed projects and consult with appropriate vendors to assess adequacy of existing applications.
  • Research and recommend the purchase of required applications that will satisfy the needs of the business.
  • Three to five years experience in end user support and troubleshooting applications in an enterprise environment preferably a professional services Firm.
  • Knowledge of Citrix or other Virtual desktop environment.
