Job Description:

Client provides High Performance Computing services throughout the HPC lifecycle for computational requirements, architecture, acquisition, and operations to client government customers. We are seeking a Remote Sensing Technician for our NASA NACS High Performance Computing contract.


You will be an active member of the Client team, interacting with the Program Manager, Site Lead, Customer, and site staff.

This position is a member of the Innovation Lab at the NASA Center for Climate Simulation (NCCS) and candidates should be able to work closely with other members of the team.

Facilitate the analysis and development of remote sensing data products for land cover classification.

Work with the Government Point of Contact and members of the Innovation Lab to build training datasets for machine learning workflows.

Evaluate performance of very high-resolution commercial satellite data for producing science results.

Identify, download, and work with remotely sensed data.

Develop methods of applying remote sensing results in a geospatial environment.

Create data workflows from extracted requirements and provide all applicable documentation.

Coordinate, manage, write, and perform research (up to 80%).

Maintain daily production schedule and work with customized data automation tools and procedures. Participate in weekly team meetings.

Provide monthly updates of key accomplishments.
