IAM Technologist

job summary:
Seeking an Identity and Access Management technologist to serve as a second level support

engineer. The position isfor an operational run group and support engineers will respond to

incidents as well as handle support requestsfor a variety of technologies related to

our IAM services. Successful candidates will need a deep understanding and technical expertise

to apply in a hands-on environment, mid-level experience required. Engineers that only want to

do projects and/or design and architect solutions will not be happy with this role.

Candidates should have in-depth, hands-on experience with SailPoint IdentityIQ (version 7.3+),

common technologies used in an enterprise IAM environment such as SSO, directory services,

and MFA, an understanding of and experience with disaster recovery, resilient design, and high

availability techniques and solutions. While not hard requirements, experience with Azure,

AWS, and cloud development, scripting, and a high-level understanding of Java are a plus.

Qualifications:

- Troubleshooting skills and logic

- Must be able to work well in an ambiguous and changing environment

- Hands on knowledge of SailPoint IdentityIQ environments, certification is a plus

- 5+ years of experience in relevant technologies, including:

- Connectors/Applications

- SSF (JML Process)

- Tasks/workflows

- Business Rules

- Familiarity with the debug interface

- Break/Fix, Provisioning & Decom, Patching, Migrations, Documentation

- Data Aggregation

- SSO

- Kerberos

- SAML (Ping Federate, Azure AD)

- OAuth/OIDC

- PKI

- Symmetric/Asymmetric encryption

- Hashing

- General knowledge of integration points

Nice to Haves:

- Development

- Java, ability to read code and understand logged exceptions

- Can write simple shell scripts

- Splunk

- Basic search/query operations

- LDAP

- General schema and extensions

responsibilities:
Project responsibilities, including executing on the improvements and automation

identified by them or others on the team, and ownership ofsmall projects within their

respective area.

- Queue owner, responsible for the general health of the queue including resolving

tickets, identifying trends, finding the technical cause of problems, recommending, and

implementing process/system changes to eliminate incoming workload, optimizing team

process, diagnosing problems to the root cause, and resolving them, and escalating

where appropriate.

- Rotation, the position isfor a primary day shift (8-10 hours per day) and participation in

a team 24x7 weekly rotation is part of the role. More extended off-shift time may be

needed but these would be planned.
