Senior IT Project Manager

job summary:
We are seeking a demonstrated Agile Project Manager with technical and business acumen to join the IT Infrastructure team to support the planning and development of Technology Infrastructure projects while also adopting new Agile practices. The ideal candidate will have experience working with a variety of stakeholder groups. This position requires the ability to balance thought leadership, implementation know-how and team facilitation. Further, this role includes coaching the teams you work with, assisting everyone involved with understanding the core principles of Agile, and generally exploring new ways of working.

Skills



  • 5+ years of working experience in various Agile methodologies such as Kanban, Scrum, etc., preferred
  • Experience in the coaching and development of squads
  • A continuous improvement mindset and dedication to uncovering better ways of working
  • Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority
  • Ability to manage multiple projects with competing priorities
  • Excellent written and oral communications and interpersonal skills
  • Superb follow-through; propensity to approach tasks and goals with an ownership mentality
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and squads with competing priorities
  • Commitment to organization's new ways of working through greater collaboration
  • In-dep Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Business Management
  • th knowledge of Jira and Confluence a plus

responsibilities:
  • Guide, coach and motivate the team with the goal of increasing Agile fluency and adoption
  • Organize and oversee the squads' business as usual workflows along with project deliverables
  • Manage scope, timelines, quality, goals and deliverables that support business goals
  • Facilitate discussions, decision making and conflict resolution
  • Promote and demonstrate core agile principles of collaboration, prioritization, team accountability and visibility
  • Ensure the team is tracking and communicating their progress through a set of Agile metrics
  • Provide status updates to Product Owners and group management
  • Promote team self-organization around achieving their commitments
  • Challenge and enable the team to continuously improve through intentional and data driven inspect, adapting to sprint cycles
  • Provide constructive feedback to help drive Agile maturity
  • Identify continuous improvement opportunities and best practices to progress Infrastructure's Agile goals

  • Experience level: Experienced
  • Minimum 5 years of experience
  • Education: Bachelors (required)
