Technical Project Manager

job summary:
We are looking for a Senior Technical Project Manager that will plan, lead, organize and motivate teams to deliver high quality successful projects. Candidates must have extensive experience managing security and complaicne projects. Main roles and responsibilities will be to define project scope, work with project resources to set deadlines, clarify project team responsibilities, resolve project issues, and monitor progress of large, technical, complex projects, often for implementation of multiple solutions. You will be responsible for the delivery of demonstrable progress toward defined success metrics. Senior Project Managers ensure an effective implementation, manage resource allocation, rollout that maximizes solution value and audit effectiveness of change management.

Things You'll Do:

·Be responsible for overseeing security and compliance project portfolio including but not limited to Zero Trust, SOCaaS, SOC 2 Type 2, HIPAA, Governance Risk Compliance (GRC), ISO27001 / 18

·Direct concurrent high - visibility projects across multiple business functions

·Work with internal stakeholders and teams to set up necessary controls, processes, and audits

·Manage task delivery from 3rd party vendors as it relates to meeting security and compliance policies and requirements

·Serve as the central point of contact for technical and product Security and Compliance project portfolio across teams

·Facilitate the team's engagement with overall direction, strategic initiatives, roadmap, internal product development, and internal marketing for Security and Compliance related requirements and initiatives

·Use extensive business operational experience to apply best practices, define and document Visio business flows, policies and procedures throughout the organization.

·Independently build and maintain project plans to support the visibility and traceability of complex, technical and cross-functional projects

·Work with all aspects of the business to support and execute technical programs inclusive of security audits, change management, operational activities, and process improvements

·Take the lead to drive collaboration with other departments as they relate to the projects.

·Proactively and consistently identify, mitigate, and manage project risks.

·Manage all project controls, including: budget vs actual for project hours, forecast accuracy, revenue attainment with a high degree of accuracy with minimal support.

·Weekly and monthly status reports that support management read out to the executives on a monthly basis

·Defines program governance and project structure, develops the sub portfolio schedule; sets program objectives. Manages scope and change, tracks all projects within the program against major milestones with business targets and clear success criteria

·Defines, implements and facilitates cross functional impact of change management, manages portfolio/program budget active/proactive management and forecasting; and leads/facilitates executive and senior leadership meetings.

·Audit of accomplishing success criteria post implementation of programs and projects

What you will bring:

·Bachelor's degree preferred.

·5+ years of Project Management Experience

·3-5 years of business operations project management experience

·Extensive experience with technical projects supporting security and compliance in the technology space

·Excellent project management, interpersonal, negotiation, communication, presentation, documentation and problem-solving skills.

·Proficient in the use of Smartsheet, Visio, Excel

·Ability to consistently act independently, take initiative and drive tasks and issues to resolution.

·executive-level presence and experience in facilitation.

·Business automation and workflow process development desirable.

·Is experienced, confident, articulate, succinct, and professional, and has executive presence, sound judgement and critical thinking skills.

·Innovative, forward thinking, develop and scrutinize best practices.

·Early adopter and able to influence change.

·Successfully manage a changing environment.

  • You are providing on a set cadence weekly templated project and program status reports clearly outline progression, risk, upcoming tasks to direct and indirect stakeholders of project.
  • You are responsive to your peers, managers and executives.
  • You take extensive, articulate, clear and direct notes which are sent out same day of meetings.
  • You project plans are accurate, descriptive, up to date daily.
  • If you are unsure, you ask or research to get a better understand of the project and program you are supporting.
