Overview:

We are looking for a content strategist that will focus on driving critical initiatives for the Discovery Ads UX Team. Our launches impact the advertiser buying experience for Discovery Ads. Top 3 Daily Responsibilities:

  • Deliver clear, trustworthy, and concise UX writing solutions
  • Partner with UX design, research, product management, program management, and engineering partners to ensure a cohesive brand experience throughout the customer journey.
  • Craft solutions that are authentic to Google's brand values and uphold cross-platform UXW standards.
Required Skills:

  • BA/BS in English, Communications, Journalism, Technical Writing, UX, HCI (in lieu of degree, 4-7 years of relevant work experience required)
  • 4 years of experience with user-focused product writing including work in hardware, software, digital agency, or other relevant product areas
  • Experience masterfully giving ideas meaning and clarity through words and storytelling
  • Experience in shaping content strategy for multi-disciplinary projects
  • A portfolio of UX-focused writing samples and style guidelines
  • Outstanding communication and presentation skills
Nice to have Skills (not required):

  • MA/BS in English, Communications, Journalism, Technical Writing, UX, HCI (in lieu of degree, 3 years of relevant work experience required)
  • Familiar with current best practices, principles, trends, and patterns in interactive design
  • Experience incorporating research, data, and customer feedback into proposed solutions
  • Comfortable with design tools like Figma

  • Partner with UX design, research, product management, program management, and engineering partners to ensure a cohesive brand experience throughout the customer journey.
  • Craft solutions that are authentic to Google's brand values and uphold cross-platform UXW standards.
  • Conduct content audits (qualitative analyses) as well as content gap analysis.
  • Proactively solicit and incorporate feedback from stakeholders, teammates, and cross-functional partners
  • Manage multiple projects, balance scope with timelines, and present proposed solutions to key stakeholders.
